Welcome to SolarAlign. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you use our application and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

• Identity Data: includes email address (if you choose to create an account).
• Technical Data: includes device information, operating system, and sensor data (gyroscope, compass) processed locally to calculate solar geometry.
• Usage Data: includes information about how you use our application.
• Solar Data: telemetry and calculation logs for your saved installations.

3. How We Use Your Data

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data to provide and improve the SolarAlign service. Sensor data is processed in real-time on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless explicitly saved by you as part of an installation log.

4. Data Storage and Security

If you create an account, your data is securely stored using Firebase (Google Cloud Platform). We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way.

5. Your Legal Rights

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data, including the right to request erasure of your personal data. You can delete your account and all associated data directly within the SolarAlign app settings.
